Fell & Dales Heritage Trail - 3 Nights / 4 Days

This popular Inn to Inn walking holiday is a spectacular journey through the fells and dales of Cumbria and the Yorkshire dales. Beginning in Cumbria, at the most northerly point of the Pennine Bridleway just a few minutes walk from Street Farm the route follows the well defined path up and over Wild Boar fell before descending into the wild and beautiful Mallerstang valley. Crossing the river Eden at the valley bottom the route picks up the Lady Anne Way to journey south along the "Highway" passing Hellgill, the gorge which, according to legend, Dick Turpin lept to escape capture. Day two continues along the Pennine Bridleway before joining the Dales Way to follow a low level route through english meadows along the river Dee to the cobbled village of Dent. Day three continues along the Dales Way through to Sedbergh ( an English book town) with an option for a hike up Winder fell or an easier low level route to Cautley. Day four explores the Howgill fells and the limestone pavement before your arrival back at Street Farm.

Detailed route instructions, maps, & dinner, bed and breakfast in carefully chosen Inns along the way. We organise the daily transfer of your luggage and are on hand throughout your holiday should you require any assistance. Secure car parking is provided at Street Farm, our home and base of Stonetrail Holidays. Our holidays can be booked at dates to suit you with all details planned by us allowing you to simply turn up and go. Located within two hours of Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds with excellent road and rail links. Pick up and return from Kirkby Stephen station can be arranged.
