We have a great choice of outdoor pursuits and with the attractions of the Lake District close by, we are the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or to simply unwind with family or friends.

Stonetrail Cottages are arranged around a beautiful courtyard which together provide flexible accommodation options. There are spacious entertaining spaces which will comfortably host a party of 18 guests whilst the choice of adjoining properties with independent spaces and kitchens work well for groups of families and friends. Each property has its own access and share a garden with stunning views across the valley.

Weekend Hire for Groups

We are open all year for weekend, mid week and week long breaks. When all properties are hired together we can accommodate up to 18 guests, perfect for large groups, birthday weekends, hen parties or family get togethers. We can help you plan your breaks with lots of ideas and can provide contacts with local companies for catering, activities etc. Dogs are welcome and you can even bring your own horses. Our online booking facility has up to the minute availability with an option to hold and reserve properties for up to 7 days.

Our cottages have been carefully converted to retain their original architectural features whilst adding all the modern comforts we know our guests expect. Each property has been individually styled offering a blend of rustic charm in a contemporary setting with exposed trusses, wood burning stoves, power showers and crisp white linen.

Wonderful Walking & Outdoor Pursuits

Stonetrail has an amazing setting with panaramic views from every window. With no immediate neighbours there is a complete sense of space and privacy and you can be fooled that the scenery just goes on forever. For the more energetic you can choose to take to the fells from your door on foot, bike or even a horse. We provide complimentary route maps and bikes and horseriding treks can be arranged onsite with ourselves. There are many more pursuits available locally such as fishing, golf, paragliding, swimming and sailing and we can help you plan as much of your break as you want.

Getting Here

Stonetrail is easily reached in 20 mins from Junctions 37 or 38 of the M6 and less than an hour from Scotch Corner. The nearest train stations are Kirkby Stephen 10 mins ( Leeds / Carlisle line ) and Oxenholme 30 mins ( West Coast Line ).
