How to Book:

If you wish to book a ride please contact us to check availability either by phone ( 015396-23444) or by email click here. Please note that if you wish to book accommodation as well as riding we recommend you check the riding availability beforehand,

Deposit

We require a non refundable deposit for all bookings involving rides lasting a full day or longer. Full details of the amount and how to pay will be provided when you book.

Payment for rides lasting up to half a day can be settled on arrival.

How to Pay

We accept payments by cash, cheque or internet banking. Cheques should be made payable to Stonetrail Holidays. Details of how to pay by internet banking will be provided at the time of booking. Riding holiday customers will receive written confirmation detailing your riding holiday and the full cost.

Minimum Riding Standards

All riders should be capable and confident at trot, be aged 8 and over and weigh less than 15 stone.

From experience, we also understand that some riders, whilst being able to canter, may be a bit "rusty" or have less experience of Trail Riding and we therefore offer specific rides which are more "instructional" which have proved very successful. For the more experienced and confident riders we have challenging routes with opportunities for a good gallops. We will discuss your ability and experience in detail when you book and advise you of the most suitable ride.

Duration of Rides

Please note the duration of the ride is approximate and may be longer than anticipated due to the actual pace of the ride. What to Wear

Jodphurs or full length trousers
Gloves (not mittens)
Riding boots or shoes / boots with a small heel and flat sole

We will provide a selection of riding helmets which meet current european union standards. You are also welcome to bring your own. Riding crops and whips are not necessary.

Mobile phones

Please note that for safety reasons you will be asked to switch your mobile phone OFF for the duration of your ride.

Time of arrival

Please arrive at the time specified to allow us sufficiant time to prepare you for your ride. Failure to arrive on time may result in your ride having to be cut short or cancelled and in these circumstances the full amount will charged.

How to Pay

Bookings for rides lasting half day or more must be paid at the time of booking either by bank transfer ( we will provide bank details ) or by cheque or cash. Payment for rides lasting 2 hours can be taken on the day.

Please note we do not currently accept payments by card.

If you decide to cancel or change your booking:

Please advise us if you wish to cancel or change any details of your booking. We regret we are unable to offer a refund for cancellations notified with less than a weeks notice but we are happy to offer a credit to be used for a future booking.

If we have to cancel your booking

Stonetrail reserves the right to cancel your booking. In these circumstances a full refund will be provided. The main reasons for this will be due to poor weather conditions affecting safety, a horse being unfit or a circumstance beyond our control. We will endeavor to give you as much notice as possible in these circumstances.

Liability

Whilst we take every care to provide suitable horses, they can be unpredictable and we cannot accept any responsibility for injury to riders. Each rider will be asked to sign a declaration confirming they accept the level of risk.

Standards of Conduct

For safety reasons we will refuse anyone who in our opinion is unsafe or who acts in a reckless manner.

Refunds

Refunds will not be given except when we, for reasons beyond our control, have to cancel your booking.
