Stonetrail Horse Riding in Cumbria, close to the Yorkshire Dales offers trail riding and riding holidays through inspiring scenery ranging from 1 hour to a full day. We have a fabulous selection of routes and tailor each ride to suit your ability.
Situated close to Ravenstonedale, midway between Sedbegh and Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria we are fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best off road riding routes in the UK.
Personally run by the ourselves, using BHS trained staff, we offer a small and friendly trail riding experience with a high standard of personal attention. We ride out in small groups in a relaxed order at a pace which suits you using our small team of sturdy well mannered cobs.
We also have 3 self catering cottages which sleep between 1 and 16 people and we can tailor a riding holidays with dates and times to suit you. Own horses are very welcome. Please visit our accommodation pages and our riding holiday page for more details.
On your return you can look forward to complimentary tea and cakes and a relaxing sit down in our riders lounge. We also offer light lunches which are a great way to make your visit even more special. Non riding partners are most welcome to come along and use our facilities to enjoy a walk or just sit and enjoy the views.
Minimum Riding Standards
Please note we do require that all riders are experienced at walk and trot and weigh less than 15 stone. Our normal minimim age is 12 but can be flexible if the rider is quite experienced. Please do enquire further about this requirement.
