bikeStonetrail Cycling and Mountain Bike Holidays

Great Location

We are situated midway between Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria close to the Yorkshire Dales border. Less than 15 minutes from the M6 we have some of the best on and off road cycling routes in the UK.

Self Guided Cycling Breaks from £45 person

There are several good reasons for choosing to stay at Stonetrail. Our onsite accommodation, converted from stone barns, is well equipped and comfortable; very important after a hard day on the fells! Mountain Bike hire is available on site or for those who prefer to bring their own bike we have good cycle livery facilities. Our personal experience of our local trails means you can rely on us to help you quickly and easily plan your daily routes. We have a good Inn within walking distance serving evening meals and we can provide breakfast packs if required. We also have horse riding available on site which is of course another great way to take to the fells and perfect for non cycling partners. But probably the best reason to stay here is the chocolate cake which you can help yourself to when you get back after your ride !!

We offer excellent value mountain bike breaks which can cost as little as £45 per person for a weekend break, based on 4 persons sharing the same apartment on a self catering basis. Bike hire charges for residents are just £10 per day and all our route maps are free. Breakfast packs can be provided at a small extra charge.

Please check out our Really Wild Mountain Bike Breaks page for more details on our holidays and please call us if you have any queries. We love to help and understand you may want to check out some finer details before you make a booking.

Many thanks

David and Alison Roper

Owners ( who are really wild about the outdoors, Alison especially, who seems to spend her life now happily roaming around on Wild Boar Fell, particuarly when its bad weather because she thinks its even more fun when it's really wild and the chocolate cake tastes even better when you get back ! )
