A selection of guest comments from our visitor books

Dear Alison,

I just wanted to say on behalf of all eight of us how much we loved staying at Stonetrail.  Stoneview was beautifully appointed and the views from all directions were beautiful. Everything we needed was catered for and the web site, unlike some I’ve experienced, doesn’t exaggerate how lovely it is.  The beds were so comfortable, more comfortable than most of our own at home and after a long walk we all slept well.  We really didn’t want to leave!

Thank you also for all the information you provided re. pubs and walks.  We eat at the Cross Keys after a walk to Cautley Spout, which, as you had said, was truly a one off experience and a lovely one at that.  The whole weekend reached all expectations and more.  We loved the fact that we were trusted to come and go as we pleased.  We were able to enjoy ourselves and, within reason, not have any concerns as to how much noise we made (much laughter was had.) What can I say, a perfect place to explore the wild and wonderful National Park.

Would thoroughly recommend your  beautiful accommodation and the warm and helpful welcome we received from you and your family to anyone and we certainly will. Hopefully we can all return soon.

Thank you, Shell, Zoe, Emma, Gaynor, Kim, Jo, Ruth and Sarah – Shell’s hen do party.

Hi Alison,

I forgot to write in the guest book and have been meaning to email you all week.

I just wanted to say on behalf of myself and all my hens what a wonderful time we had last weekend. Stoneview is just lovely, really nicely done out with plenty of character and comfort and a really well thought out layout. I could quite happily live there permanently especially as all you can see when you look out of the window is horses! You and David were so welcoming and laid back, making us feel almost a part of the family and nothing was too much trouble for you.

The horses were lovely and the riding superb. Every single one of the girls who went on the ride really enjoyed themselves and we have a convert in Lucie! The highlight for me was the gallop across the top of the moor. I felt the ride you created for us was very well thought out, with enough excitement for those wanting/able to do more, but quiet enough for those that were less experienced/beginners. I know that you don't usually take on beginners so I really appreciate you allowing it on this occasion.

I can't wait to come back and do some longer rides, either on your lovely horses or with Puzzle (who was rather full of himself when I got back on Monday after having a weekend off!).

A huge thank you for the most perfect hen weekend.
