How to book and pay for your accommodation

Currently, the Stoneyard apartment is booked directly with ourselves and the Stoneheights apartment is booked via Cumbrian Cottages. The booking procedures for each are detailed below:

How to book Stoneyard

You can check the availability and provisionally book Stoneyard online via our website. Once you have confirmed which accommodation you wish to book and the dates you require we will hold your booking on a provisional basis for 7 days until we have received your deposit, which is 25% of the total cost. You can choose to pay your deposit either by cheque, payable to "Stonetrail Holidays" or by internet banking, details of which are given when you book. The final balance will be due for payment no later than 6 weeks prior to your arrival date.

Alternatively, if you would prefer to make a booking by telephone please contact us and we will take your booking by phone and letter. All details of your booking will be confirmed in writing by email and you are able to contact us at any time by email or telephone on 015396-23444.

How to book Stoneheights

You can check availability for stoneheights online via oiur website. If you wish to make a booking, cick on "add to booking" and you will be taken irectly to the Cumbrian Cottages booking website which allows you to make a direct online booking. Please note that the terms and conditions of booking for Stoneheights are as per those set out by Cumbrian Cottages and not ours, as shown below. By making a booking with Cumbrian Cottages you will be entering a booking contract with Cumbrian Cottages rather than ourselves.

Arrival and Departure Days / Times

Our accommodation is available to let starting on either a Friday or a Monday and can be booked for a minimum of 3 nights making us an excellent choice for a weekend, midweek or week long break. Your accommodation will be available from 3pm on the day of your arrival and we request that you vacate your accommodation by 10am on the day of your departure.

Our Price Includes

The price of our accommodation includes all charges relating to heating and lighting and logs for the wood burning stove. Bed linen is also provided as well as a small amount of essential domestic items such as hand soap, washing up liquid, toilet rolls and tea towels. Guests will need to bring their own towels.

Horseriding and Bike Hire

If you wish to book horseriding or bike hire please contact us in advance to discuss dates etc. Charges for these activities can be paid on the day.

Baby Equipment

Please let us know in advance if you require a cot, highchair or any other baby equipment and we will do our best to meet your needs. We do not make any charges for this.

Cancellations

If you have to cancel your booking we request that you notify us as early as possible. In these circumstances your deposit will not be refundable. We regret that holiday cancellation insurance is not included if you book your accommodation directly with ourselves.

Pets

We allow one dog in our Stoneyard apartment at a charge of £15 per week. We also offer short term stable and grazing for owners and horses on holiday.

Number of persons per unit

Please note that the number of persons staying at the property must not exceed the number of persons stated at the time of your booking.

Responsibility for damages

The hirer undertakes to take all reasonable care in the use of the property and its contents, including the security of the property. The hirer will report any damages losses or breakages as soon as they occur. We reserves the right to charge for repairs, losses or replacements necessitated by the negligent act or omission of any of the hirer's party, guests or invitees.

Description of property

We have described our property as accurate as possible but this cannot be warranted and nor does the description form any contract. We reserve the right to alter or improve any of the descriptions without notice.

Internet access

Our accommodation has been wired for internet access. However, due to our remote location we are unable to guarantee its speed or constant accessibility.
